This Cookie Policy explains how Music City Skin uses cookies and similar technologies on musiccityskin.com.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites work and remember information about your visit. We also use your browser's local storage to remember your shopping cart.
Cookies we use
- Shopping cart (local storage, mcs_cart_v1): remembers the items in your cart on your device. It is stored in your browser and is not sent to us until you check out.
- Affiliate login session (mcs_aff): a secure cookie that keeps affiliates signed in to the affiliate portal for up to 7 days. It is only set if you log in as an affiliate.
- Admin login session (mcs_admin): a secure cookie that keeps our staff signed in to the store admin for up to 12 hours. It is only set for our staff.
- Affiliate referral (mcs_ref): when you arrive through an affiliate link (such as musiccityskin.com/?ref=CODE), we store the referral code for up to 30 days so the affiliate can be credited for your purchase. Your browser's session storage also briefly notes that the referral visit was recorded, so it isn't counted twice.
- Payment and checkout (Stripe): when you check out, you are taken to a secure checkout page hosted by our payment processor, Stripe, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment security. Stripe's use of cookies is described in Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.
No analytics or advertising cookies
We use only essential cookies and similar storage needed to run the store. We do not use analytics tools or advertising and tracking pixels (such as Google Analytics, Meta or TikTok pixels), and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy before doing so and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent checkout or login from working. You can also clear your cart by deleting your browser's site data for musiccityskin.com.
